It seems the pussy willow cuttings inserted in a porch pot 3 months ago are sprouting (growing buds). Are they called catpaws?  Anyway, I am surprised and delighted.  I water it occasionally.  It is partially frozen still with temps at night below freeing. But daytime temps are in the 40's or 50 this week.  The winter has been short. The drought is very much critical in this part of Central South MN.
